Clever thought for the day:

““I started getting letters from teachers … saying we’ve used videos to flip the classroom.  “What we do now is … assign the lectures for homework, and what used to be homework we now have the students doing in the classroom””.

We’ve got a busy day planned for Friday, lots of new learning platforms to poke around in and learning theories to discuss…

In addition, we’ll let a few of our faculty do a quick update on what they’ve already started working on for their new semester courses and we’ll take a look at the free tools and resources that can be used for ‘reverse instruction.’ (also available in Bb in the ‘my organizations’ section workshop 2 file are some additional readings we’ll be discussing Friday)! One such article is called Building community in an online learning environment: communication, cooperation and collaboration, and I’ve summarized it for you so check out our files page to pre-read.

See you Friday February 10 @ 10 sharp in 249 Carman!

Updates on this page will be ongoing.
